Use fictional or tutor-provided values only. These examples explain arithmetic, not treatment or administration decisions.

Choose a method that makes sense to you

A fictional liquid contains 100 mg in 5 mL. An exercise asks for the volume containing 40 mg.

Formula method

(required amount ÷ stock amount) × stock volume

(40 ÷ 100) × 5 = 2 mL.

Find the amount in 1 mL

100 mg ÷ 5 mL = 20 mg per mL. Then 40 mg ÷ 20 mg per mL = 2 mL.

Unit cancellation

40 mg × (5 mL ÷ 100 mg) = 2 mL. The mg units cancel, leaving mL.

All three methods describe the same relationship. For coursework, follow your tutor's required method. Keep the units visible and avoid rounding intermediate steps.

Check the size of the answer

40 mg is less than 100 mg, so the answer should be less than 5 mL. Reverse-check: 2 mL × 20 mg per mL = 40 mg.

Answer formats

Enter the number beside the displayed unit. Read the question's rounding instruction and round only the final answer. A whole-number answer can be entered as 2 rather than 2.0. In negative fluid-balance examples, include the minus sign. These practice rules do not replace your course's assessment instructions.

Keep your progress

Updates on the same address are intended to preserve it, but real-device update testing remains required.

  1. On the original website, open My learning and choose Export learning data.
  2. Keep the downloaded JSON file. Do not clear your original data.
  3. On the destination website/browser, open My learning and import the file.
  4. Compare the topic progress and practice goal before deleting anything. Import replaces the supported progress fields rather than merging two histories.

The export covers topic learning, short-quiz positions, daily practice, question statistics, practice days and weekly goal. It does not cover the separate 600-question assessment history, favourites, privacy choices or an active assessment. Typed answers and calculator inputs are not exported.
