Privacy at DosePractice

DosePractice is designed to minimise data collection and must never be used to enter patient-identifying information.

Information stored on your device

DosePractice may use browser storage for favourites, recently used resources, learning-step completion, quiz position and scores, question attempt/correct counts, practice days, a weekly practice goal, display preferences and privacy choices. Calculator inputs and typed quiz answers are not retained. The expanded numeracy assessment also keeps typed answers in page memory only by default and discards them when the page is refreshed or closed. To reduce repetition and suggest revision, it may store recognised question IDs, recent-question order and aggregate correct/incorrect counts only on that device. Optional activity counts can show which sections are used on that device. This information remains in that browser unless the user deliberately exports it.

Expanded numeracy assessment

The 600-question assessment builder does not require an account. Saving a final summary is optional and switched off by default. When selected, the browser stores only the completion date, mode, score, total and topic totals. It does not store the typed answers. Separate optional rotation data may record only recognised question IDs and aggregate correct/incorrect outcomes; this can be cleared at any time.

Learning progress

The optional My learning dashboard is an informal device-only aid. It can suggest topics for revision using only local question attempt and correct counts. It is not a competency record, does not identify the learner and does not sync between devices.

Exporting or importing progress

A user may export a small JSON progress file and later import it on another browser. The import accepts only recognised DosePractice topic and question identifiers plus supported progress fields. It ignores unknown fields. Users are instructed not to add names, patient information or other personal information to the file.

Privacy-by-design promise

Read the separate privacy-by-design page for a clear description of account-free use, session-only answers and the limits of the “privacy-first” claim.

Clearing data

Learning progress, activity counts and other local settings can be cleared from within DosePractice. Cached website files can also be removed through the browser's site settings.

Advertising

Live advertising is disabled in this development build. Before Google AdSense is activated, this policy must be updated to describe the final advertising partners, purposes, consent controls and actual processing. Required certified consent management must be configured and tested before relevant advert requests are made.

Aggregate page measurement

DosePractice may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views, visits, traffic sources, device categories and page performance. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and states that it does not collect or use visitors' personal data. DosePractice does not use this layer to receive typed answers, calculator inputs, individual scores, names, email addresses or patient information. The owner must still keep this description and the service configuration under review.

Custom learning-event analytics

DosePractice also contains fail-closed browser code for a possible future, consented learning-event service. That separate service is disabled. No production receiver, protected owner API, retention job or weekly-email delivery is connected. It must remain disabled until those controls and the final privacy wording are implemented and reviewed. The proposed schema excludes typed answers, calculator inputs, individual scores, names, learner emails and patient information.

Owner dashboard and weekly report

The private owner dashboard and automatic weekly report depend on the disabled custom event service. They do not receive Cloudflare Web Analytics data automatically. Until the backend is implemented, any owner summary must use aggregate Cloudflare dashboard information and separately received feedback.

Feedback

The feedback form prepares an email in your own email application. DosePractice receives only what you choose to send. Never include patient information.

Offline use

A service worker may cache website files on your device so previously opened parts of DosePractice can remain available when connectivity is poor.

Data-controller and fee assessment

The final legal operator, public business address and ICO data-protection-fee position must be confirmed before commercial publication. Domain privacy does not replace any required website disclosure.
