Privacy by design
DosePractice is designed to provide useful nursing numeracy practice without requiring an account or building a remotely stored learning profile.
Information that may stay on the learner’s device
Favourites, display preferences, completed learning steps, quiz position, recognised question identifiers, recent-question order, aggregate correct/incorrect counts, scores and topic totals can be stored in the browser. The learner can clear recognised rotation history and clear or export supported local learning data. In the assessment builder, saving a final score summary is optional and switched off by default.
Information DosePractice does not need
- Name, university, employer or professional registration details
- Email address or phone number
- Date of birth, NHS number or any other patient identifier
- Prescription, medicine history or clinical record
- Typed assessment answers after the session ends
Website operations
A hosting provider necessarily processes ordinary technical request data such as an IP address to deliver a webpage. Advertising remains disabled. Cloudflare Web Analytics may be enabled for aggregate page and performance measurement; Cloudflare describes that service as privacy-first and states that it does not collect or use visitors' personal data. DosePractice's separate custom learning-event route remains disabled because its production receiver, retention, owner access and weekly reporting controls are not deployed. Typed answers, calculator inputs, individual scores and patient information are excluded from both measurement designs.
Privacy is not the same as clinical approval
Privacy-first design does not make DosePractice suitable for patient care. It remains an educational arithmetic-practice tool and must not be used to calculate, verify or support a real clinical decision.
