A Five-Minute Medication Maths Practice Plan

Short practice sessions can make formula recognition feel more familiar without turning revision into a large task. The purpose is educational confidence with arithmetic, not support for real clinical decisions.

Educational boundary

Use fictional or tutor-provided values only. These pages explain arithmetic and do not select, recommend, verify or administer treatment. Do not enter patient information or use DosePractice in a clinical workflow.

Minute 1: identify the target

Read one question and write the requested quantity and unit. Do not calculate yet.

Minutes 2–3: show the working

Write the formula, convert units and substitute values. Keep all intermediate digits until the end.

Minute 4: sense-check

Estimate the answer, follow the units and perform a reverse calculation where possible.

Minute 5: compare and record

Reveal the worked answer. Record only whether the topic felt secure or needs revision; never store patient or clinical details.

Weekly pattern

Two short mixed sessions.
One focused session on the weakest topic.
One twenty-question set before an assessment period.
A break during holidays is acceptable; progress does not depend on maintaining a streak.
