Educational arithmetic only
DosePractice supports fictional or tutor-provided arithmetic practice. It is not a patient-care, prescribing, treatment, administration, checking or competency system.
Your responsibilities
Do not enter names, dates of birth, NHS numbers or other patient information. Independently verify every formula, unit and result using an appropriate tutor-approved or organisational source. Do not use a DosePractice result for an individual patient.
Arithmetic result wording
Calculator outputs are mathematical results for practice examples. They do not state that a dose is safe, verify a prescription or authorise administration.
Privacy-minimised measurement
Cloudflare Web Analytics may be used for aggregate page, visit, source, device and performance measurement. DosePractice does not use it to receive typed answers, calculator inputs, individual scores, names or patient information. A separate custom learning-event system remains disabled unless and until its consent, receiver, retention, security and owner-access controls are implemented and reviewed.
Availability
The website may change, pause or contain errors during development. Offline availability is best-effort and advertising requires an internet connection.
Intellectual property and educational sharing
Copyright and other intellectual-property rights may subsist in original DosePractice text, question wording, worked explanations, software, graphics, page design, selection or arrangement and educational resources. Unless otherwise stated, those rights are owned by or licensed to the DosePractice publisher. DosePractice does not claim exclusive ownership of underlying mathematics, facts or standard calculation methods.
Personal study and genuine non-commercial educational sharing of DosePractice-generated practice packs are permitted provided DosePractice attribution, question IDs and set codes are not deliberately removed or obscured. Bulk extraction, rebranding, commercial republication or systematic harvesting of substantial DosePractice content requires permission except where the law gives you a right to do so.
Independent project
DosePractice is an independent educational numeracy resource. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NHS, NMC, any university or any healthcare employer. It must not be used for patient-specific decisions.
The owner does not use NHS or university systems, professional authority, student-assessment relationships, paid advertising or direct posting to nursing groups to promote DosePractice. This public beta may be shared with healthcare colleagues and learners for voluntary educational testing. Sharing does not imply endorsement or approval by the NHS, NMC, any university, employer or other organisation. Public growth may arise through ordinary word of mouth and independent third-party sharing; search indexing and paid promotion remain separate release decisions.
AI-assisted development and editorial responsibility
AI tools have substantially assisted with code, question templates, explanations, testing and draft website content. AI is not presented as an author, clinician, regulator or independent reviewer. DosePractice remains responsible for publication decisions, and substantive owner review is required before commercial publication or search indexing. Read the detailed content methodology.
Human and technical error
Human error, drafting mistakes and technical defects can occur even where content has been reviewed and tested. DosePractice uses displayed formulae and working, automated arithmetic and regression checks, source and version records, user problem reporting, and controlled correction and rollback. These controls reduce but cannot eliminate every error.
